On 11th September 2001, 2,977 people lost their lives. Among them were 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, and 8 paramedics, emergency responders who ran toward danger without hesitation. This climb is our way of honouring every one of them.
The Southampton Memorial Stair Climb is a multi-agency charity event open to firefighters, police officers, paramedics, NHS workers, coastguard, and all emergency service personnel. Participants will complete the climb in full PPE, carrying the weight of remembrance with every step. Together, we climb so they are never forgotten.
This is our inaugural UK event. We created it because we wanted to bring the spirit of the Atlanta Memorial Stair Climb home, giving UK firefighters and emergency responders the chance to take part in something meaningful without the need to travel to America. We plan to grow, expand and move locations for this event year on year, and we hope you’ll be part of it from the very beginning.

Everyone. This is a day for the whole community.
We extend a special invitation to all frontline emergency workers to join us for the climb itself. But the day is open to families, friends, and supporters too. Alongside the climb there will be displays of historic and modern emergency service vehicles, food vendors, and more, something for all ages and a real celebration of the people who keep us safe.
Two ticket types are available: one for the Climb and one for the Afterparty. These are sold separately, so if you want to join us for both, you will need to purchase each individually. Tickets are listed below.
